Dr Md Shahidul Islam Khan was born in 1983 in a village named Balikuri, Dist-Barpeta, Assam. He started his primary schooling at 391 No. Balikuri Primary School. After that, he was admitted to Paschim Balikuri Jana-Kalyan ME Madrassa for middle schooling. He passed the HSLC from Paschim Balikuri Jana-Kalyan High School in 1999. He completed HS in Science from Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, in 2001. He also completed a B.Sc. degree with a major in mathematics in 2004. In 2006, he post-graduated in mathematics from Gauhati University. After his M.Sc., he joined as an assistant professor at Nabajyoti College, Kalgachia, in a non-sanctioned post. Apart from teaching, he is also passionate about research activities and thus obtained an M.Phil. degree in 2009 and also completed his Ph.D. degree in 2013 from Guwahati University. In 2014, he joined as a substitute teacher at Jagiroad College under FDP. In 2016, he joined as an assistant professor at Karimganj College. At present he is working as an assistant professor at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsha Mahavidyalaya, Amonga. He has published research papers in many peer-reviewed and Scopus-indexed national & international journals. He also published many book chapters in edited books and presented research papers in various national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, etc. He contributed 43 chapters for the M.Sc. programme in mathematics under Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University on various topics like abstract algebra, differential equations, measure theory, integral equations, variational calculus, functional analysis, number theory, and fuzzy sets.
